  Glyoxylic acid is a basic organic chemical raw material. Ethyl vanillin made from glyoxylic acid is widely used in perfumery and fixative, cosmetics and flavors. Allantoin made from glyoxylic acid. It can be used as a good healing agent for skin trauma, additive for high-grade cosmetics and plant growth regulator. In medicine, glyoxylic acid is used to prepare p-hydroxyphenylglycine (the raw materials of ampicillin and cephalosporin), p-hydroxyphenylacetamide (used to manufacture atel, an effective substance for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and hypertension), and p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, p-hydroxyphenylhydantoin and other pharmaceutical products.

It is used as raw material for the production of methyl vanillin and ethyl vanillin in the spice industry. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis of antihypertensive drugs atenolol, dl-p-hydroxyphenylglycine, broad-spectrum antibiotics (oral), acetophenone, amino acids and other compounds. It can be used as the intermediate of varnish raw materials, dyes, plastics and agricultural chemicals, and also used for the production of allantoin and allantoin, which are the intermediates of anti ulcer medicine products and daily chemicals.
