M-Chlorobenzaldehyde is an intermediate of indole ester, a plant growth regulator.
It is used as intermediate of medicine and dyestuff. Acariad on dry crops and fruit trees can be controlled by the pesticide mite of o-chlorobenzaldehyde.
O-chlorobenzoxime can be obtained by oximation of o-chlorobenzaldehyde, and o-chlorobenzoxime can be obtained by further chlorination. It is mainly used in the synthesis of cloxacillin in medicine.
